Trustworthy IoT for Industrial Applications – Presented by Mario Drobics, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology at the Internet of Things Event, which takes place on Jun 08, 2017, at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
IoT can be a major driver for the digitalization of industrial environments. When applying IoT technologies in such environments (factories, energy networks, traffic, etc.), specific requirements regarding safety & security, reliability, and resilience have to be addressed. These requirements have to be considered along the whole product life cycle, i.e. from the specification and design of the product, along the production process, and during the actual usage of the products. In this talk, we will give an overview on these challenges and present results from different European research projects addressing these challenges.
