Katarzyna Ławniczuk, JePPIX, Will Be Keynote Speaker at Intelligent Sensor Networks Conference. She will speak about “Application Specific Photonic Integrated Circuits”
Photonic integrated circuits offer radical miniaturization, cost reduction and performance enhancement in sectors ranging from fiber optical communications and antenna systems through to metrology and sensing. The implementation of a pioneering generic technology in photonics now allows shared development costs across many sectors and accelerates the design cycle. The use of fewer photonic chips inherently simplifies assembly. In integrated form, photonic chips become compatible with MEMS, integrated electronics and a range of micro-optical systems, creating a roadmap for further smart systems integration.
About Katarzyna Ławniczuk
Katarzyna Ławniczuk was awarded a joint Ph.D. degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, and Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2014. Her research focused on Indium Phosphide-based multiwavelength lasers and photonic integrated transmitters. Katarzyna has been the coordinator of JePPIX at Eindhoven University of Technology since 2013.
