Tabea Neumann, Research scientist at Bundesanstalt für Straßenwesen will be discussing Innovative Monitoring and Assessment of Aging Infrastructure
The current bridge management system is damage-based and reactive. To derive information on the condition state at an earlier stage it is planned to develop an adaptive system for the provision of information and holistic evaluation in real time. A major role plays the sensor technology, especially sensor communication and networks. The presentation gives an overview over the application field of bridge monitoring, its needs and the challenges we have to face up.
About Tabea Neumann
Tabea Neumann graduated in civil engineering at the university of Karlsruhe (KIT), Germany. Since 2011 she works as a research scientist at BASt. One task area is the implementation of senor technology in an advanced maintenance system for bridge structures.
