imp cards and April and Hannah development boards are coming off of the production line while electric imp continues to work on the planner, mobile apps and documentation.
There is a very limited supply of dev kits available in this program, so not everyone will be able to participate in this release. electric imp will send out emails with invitation codes and instructions on how to order, and they will begin shipping kits on July 31st. Because this is a limited release, each invitation code is good for the purchase of a maximum of 2 imp cards, 2 April development boards, and 1 Hannah development board. This release does not include the Duino development board, which will be following later this year.
Given the limited quantity of imps which are available right now, electric imp is anxious to get them into the hands of people who are able to get stuck in right away – and give feedback. Though the hardware is complete and locked down, electric imp is sure there will be numerous issues with the firmware and service which will be resolved as fast as they can over the coming weeks.
Many more imps will be available later this summer, and third-party development boards will come out in roughly the same timeframe.
